Week 6:
Monday:
We didn't have school today due to a teacher meeting about the new junior cert cycle.
Tuesday:
TUTOR: We talked about the christmas shoe box appeal. Ms Murtagh asked who would be interested in doing it and most of the class wanted to do one. Ruth and myself are going to do one together. The class had to vote 2 people to be the leaders of the group to talk about when the boxes have to be due in by, contact TEAM HOPE to get cards off them for us to fill out etc. We are having a meeting about it in room V tomorrow at lunch time.
CONSTRUCTION(X2): We got sheet handouts which showed us how to make a memo block with hexagon shaped holes going through 2 sides. We saved it onto our files on the computer to be continued the next day.
DRAMA: Mr Coughlan gave us a hand - out of a song called calypso, which we will be doing for the variety show. He thought us the dance moves to go with the song. We all went down to the gym to practice the dance moves.
GUIDANCE: Ms Lyons talked to us about our work experience and gave us important handouts to be signed by our employer at the end of our weeks experience.
ENGLISH: Ms Hough introduced us to the novel 'The Help'. We learned more from the slideshow she showed us about the novel. We learned the key characters and what the book is going to be about, what the book is going to be about and what the story is actually based on. We also got our own book to mind until we're finished reading it.
TRIPLE ART: The class was split into 2 groups, one group was making slabs and my group was making bowls. We were using clay for these which was fun. Next week the groups will be swapped around and will be doing the opposite job.

MUSIC: Ms Coyle got brand new ukuleles for the class room and we were the first class to get to use them so we had to tune them. We watched a tutorial on youtube of what the 4 cords should sound like and by the end of the class we had all the ukuleles tuned and ready to be used.
ENGLISH: We started o our novel 'The Help' and we read the first chapter of it. We had to write a reflection and a summary of chapter 1 for homework.
RELIGION(X2): We played a game which at the end showed us the inequality and the unequal divide of the world.
MATHS: We finished our write ups about Seaclaid Ltd. in analytics and handed them up at the end of the class to be corrected.
BUSINESS: We couldn't use our usual room because the new computers were being fitted so we went to the other computer room, room J and done our portfolios.
I.T: Mr Molamphy taught us more about our e-portfolios and showed us how to use it better.
EU STUDIES: We talked about what European Studies was.
IRISH: We divided into 4 groups and played a game where we had to change the english words into irish. The team with the most correct translated words at the end won.
