The Eye Cinema Galway:
16th of January:
What struck you about the movie?
I was very struck by how Tomi survived the Holocaust. After seeing all of the horrible things that were done to Jews like him, travellers and gypsies. I also thought it was going to be a movie but it was actually a documentary. Also I was struck by the realness of the documentary I almost felt like I was living it.
What struck you about the Q&A?
How Tomi answered every single question he was asked with such deep answers. He was able to remember the horrible event like it was only yesterday. Also what struck me the most about the Q&A was how he told us about all his family being shot dead.
What was surprising?
The thing that I found most surprising about the whole documentary was that things like this are still happening today. Also how Tomi was saying he hopes an event like this never happens again.
What action does this inspire?
This inspires how to never judge a book by its cover and how at the end of the day everyone is the same.
