Week 7:
Monday:
DOUBLE P.E: Today we done the bleep test. It was really challenging and really hard. We had to run from one end of the gym to the other end as many times as we could, then after you're out of breath and cant run anymore you count have many laps you did and check it on the sheet to see you're score. The scores were poor, average, good and very good fitness levels. I got 6.4 which came under GOOD fitness levels so I was really happy with my result.
ENTERPRISE: We got handout sheets on marketing and market research. We read through the sheets and highlighted the key points and important words.
DRAMA(X2): We practiced our TY calypso song and dance. We done this down in the gym with Mr Coughlan. It is one of the songs and dances out of the variety show.
FRENCH: We read pieces of writing and answered questions with our partners.
MUSIC: We played the ukuleles and sang 'Wise Men'. We also took some notes on melodic contour.
MATHS: We had to try and solve a puzzle Mr Enwright handed out to us. We got to do this in pairs.
IRISH: We got into groups of 4 and had to speak in irish to each other and write down what the other people in the group are saying on the sheet Ms Hartnett handed out to us. The key areas were school clothes, school facilities etc.

TUTOR: We continued on with our e-portfolios on the new computers.
CONSTRUCTION(X2): We completed our memo blocks.
Drama: We continued to practice our songs and dance 'TY Calypso' and Mr Coughlan gave us another song and we learned another dance for that song.
GUIDANCE: We went to room J to complete a personality test on careersportal.
ENGLISH: We started chapter 2 in our novel 'The Help'.

Wednesday:
MUSIC: Today we played more of the ukuleles and we also practiced parts for the musical medley 'All Shook Up'. Ms Coyle tried out different people for the different parts. No characters are finalised yet though.

MATHS: We continued the puzzle from the last dayin our groups.
RELIGION(X1): We talked about our variety show to Ms Dunne.
BUSINESS: We continued reading our handouts we got the week before about entrepreneurs. We also talked a small bit about our mini companies.
I.T: Mr Molamphy set up our school website accounts as none of us could get into them. He then showed us how to use it and how to open emails on it.
EU STUDIES: We didn't have class today.

Thursday:
TUTOR: For this class all the TY's were brought together in room ED to talk about the christmas shoebox appeal. Everyone is doing a shoe box so we had to get the leaflets off Ms Dunn and Ms Murtagh which include the cut out that you stick on the top of your box when you're finished. They showed us some videos of how the boxes get to the countries in Eastern Europe and other countries and how happy and thankful the children are when they receive the boxes. Team Hope really are a good organisation.
DOUBLE HOME EC: Today we cooked Thai Spicy Chicken Cakes. They turned out really nice.
RELIGION: Ms Dunn told us some stories about when she worked with different organisations before she became a teacher and how working with these organisations brought her to different countries like Saudi Arabia and how the things that happened during her experience over there, brought her closer to God.
IRISH: We went to room J to go onto teanglann.ie to translate the words we highlighted in the piece of writing she gave us the last day.
ENTERPRISE: We finalised our groups for the mini company and we went onto the students enterprise awards website which gave us more information on what to do from here e.g. selling our product/producing it.

DOUBLE SCIENCE: We learned a lot about plant cells, animal cells, DNA in the nucleus and the Double Helix in the DNA which has coding and non-coding. We also learned about Hydrogen Bonding and how to remember it was 'At The Giants Causeway'. This class was really interesting and I learned a lot about Genetics.

IRISH: We drew pictures in groups of 4 and then described the picture in Irish to the other groups and Ms Hartnet.

MATHS: We finished the questions he gave us and handed up the sheets at the end of the class.
